I really enjoyed this book, I was fully captivated in the world and the characters, I might not have liked every character but I was really interested to see how the main two would develop throughout the story. I am in love with the world and the magic system of the world and I am pumped to start with the sequel ASAP! Even though I wasn’t really on board with the new plot points which were introduced in the last few pages.

I enjoyed listening to this book, but I do have to say that I enjoyed My Lady Jane more. I wasn't laughing as much as I did with the first book, but I did enjoy it.
I wasn't a big fan of Jane Eyre the book, so I really liked the spin this story took and the character which were in the book.

I enjoyed reading this story. I love the world and the plot but I don't really feel that much for the characters.
These were my thoughts when I just finished the book. Right now it feels just like a disappointment, because I want to love this series. But I just don't enjoyed this book that much. I was really looking forward to reading more about the Darkling and see him more developed. But that didn't happen, he just turned into a dull villain who shows up every now and then.
I am still reading Ruin and Rising, but I have no high hopes for it.

I enjoyed my time listening to the audiobook for this novel. I really enjoyed Lara Jean as a character, she is very likeable and relatable. I loved the main romance couple but I felt like the love triangle was unnecessary. The thing I loved the most about this novel was the dynamic between the sisters and how strong their bond was.
